Week 4 Assignment:
I am in favor of using re-targeting techniques to achieve targeted ads. Using this type of advertising can help companies identify prospects and possibly sell more products or services. This type of marketing requires a lot of information to identify prospects. Re-targeting will work best when a good history of browsing and purchasing can be identified. This means that data that consumers once thought was protected is actually not. Most consumers will not know the reasons they see targeted ads and many believe that the ads are based on sites they have visited but in actuality the ads they see are from combining data from many different sources.
