  1. Ant Group is a loan shark business disguised as FinTech running on the back of Alipay offering small loans at high interest rate with no questions asked to people with no collaterals to access credit cards & bank loans. This is known as the PayDay loan scheme, which has seen many failed examples in the rest of the world. Ant distributes the high risks to regular banks by receiving investments with return of medium interest. Ant is the middle man who pockets the difference between the 2 rates. The Beijing regime does not want the state-owned banks to go burst should the Ant Group bubble burst in the same fashion of the 2008 US subprime mortgage collapse bringing down major US banks and banks in other parts of the world . You guys are telling others to ignore that high risk and jump head first into Ang IPO? Is this sensible?

  2. how do people even get their hands on an IPO even before its listed on exchange?what brokerage or platform allow to do that?

  3. So Ant Group is looking at a 2 billion dollar valuation. Which means it will trade at about 18 times last years gross profit. That's better than Alibaba or Tencent. I should buy if I can get it close to the IPO price.

  4. This was the BEST investment roundtable that I have heard in a while. The number one reason, is that I did not feel like they were trying to sell me anything. It was just a frank, honest opinion that also looked at the actual NUMBERS, and not just the surface story. There was one question about RISKS that nobody mentioned…..The U.S. Election. Donald Trump has more of an isolationist combative attitude toward China on trade. Is that a factor in the overall growth of Ant Group…..or does it not really matter? Is it better for Ant if one candidate….Biden vs. Trump wins…..or does it have no effect whatsoever? Thanks!!

  5. investment into a communist totalitarian state is a stupid move ! the state or communist govt collecting of users data and buying habits are that no individual privacy !!! Those brought ipo of this ant sure be regretted later on.

  6. If investors can bid up Tesla to 1000x pe then ANT becomes tempting @ PE 30x to 40x

The risk of Royalty, Management & Technical Fee to parent Alibaba is very real though – besides regulatory risk in the financial sector

assuming 40% earnings cagr and 40x PE the fair value wold be $ 204 Bil

    peX –> 30 35 40 45 50

$ 2.6 Bil base year earnings
then valuation in $ Bil per the table

    earn cagr %
    20% 112 131 150 168 187

    25% 122 142 163 183 203

    30% 132 154 176 198 220

    40% 153 178 204 229 255
